Get Wild this Fall in St. Pete Beach

It’s almost the end of September and the heat here in sunny, Florida hasn’t let up. We’re looking forward to a slightly, cooler October. While fall isn’t quite the same in Florida than many Northern states. There are many aspects that make the Harvest season a vacation of a lifetime. With kids off to school, take a fall trip with your loved one, down South. You deserve it! Get out and explore the unique animals and sanctuaries with your special someone. It’s time to get wild while staying in a St. Pete Beach rental.

Florida is home to many endangered species. The Everglades National Park in southern Florida can attest to that. While it is quite the drive from St. Pete Beach, visiting this natural habitat and learning about the wildlife that exists there is important. With the Everglades at such a distance away, there are small sanctuaries in our area for you to check out, that we highly recommend!

Spend the day at Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay and you’ll be able to have a wildlife adventure of your own. Known for its fantastic amusement parks, Busch Gardens also has Wildlife Attractions. According to the organization, they have given more than $10 million to help protect and preserve wildlife all over the world, since 2003. In 2012 the Animal Care Center opened up, which allows for an up-close and personal look into the care and well-being of animals. Along with that, you might find more than 300 hundred species throughout the exhibits.

If you’re looking for some bird watching, head to the Great Florida Birding Trail, in Gulfport, Florida. These self-guided trails will lead you through Florida’s bird habitats, which promote conservation and education.
