Join the city of Madeira Beach this November by celebrating and honoring all US Service Branches at the John’s Pass Veterans Boat Parade. On November 12th, there will be lots of activities for the whole family. The main event is an annual boat parade through the canals. Feel free to decorate your boat in red, white, and blue for a memorable day on the water. For those renting in Madeira Beach or a gulf coast condo-like Bella Vista or Madeira Bay Resort, this is a great event to go too!
The Veterans Day Boat Parade will start off the main dock of the American Legion. The parade route will pass by the new Madeira Beach City Hall, Boca Ciega Bay, John’s Pass, Capri Isles and the Isle of Palms. You can even join in on the fun if your house is adjacent to the parade route. Along with a decoration of boats, there is also a backyard party contest. The best-decorated backyard will win some awesome gifts to bring home.
The Days Events
All activities will take place at John’s Pass Village, a famous boardwalk in Madeira Beach. This boardwalk is full of novelty shops and restaurants. Situated on the water, this offers the best place for a boat parade. Decorated boats, in patriotic colors, will line up and cruise along the shore. Other fun, activities include raffle tickets for a stay in a local hotel and a scooter.
Carry on the event at ROC Park for even more fun. Pick your favorite boat at Madeira Beach Peoples Choice Awards. There will also be a display of military vehicles and local Fire Trucks, PCSO swat Vehicle and EMS ambulance for kids to look at. Target is having a family-friendly booth set up for face painting. Cross Bridge Church is letting visitors write Thank You cards for veterans. Plus, games for kids hosted by USO and Food trucks selling scrumptious food, as well as Craft beer from Big Storm Brewery for those of age.
